01 · Project Background

When the only water source isn't safe to drink.

Under its CSR initiative, GECS undertook a community-focused project to address the critical issue of unsafe drinking water affecting tribal communities.

The available groundwater was affected by excessive fluoride contamination, making it unsuitable for direct human consumption. Recognising the importance of access to safe drinking water, GECS stepped forward to provide a sustainable water purification solution for the affected tribal population.

Elevated fluoride in groundwater

Long-term consumption of water with elevated fluoride levels can create serious health concerns — especially for communities that depend heavily on local groundwater sources.

02 · The Challenge

A significant shortage of safe, potable water.

The tribal community depended on a contaminated water source, with limited access to advanced purification facilities.

For the community, this was not simply a water-quality issue — it was a basic public health and quality-of-life challenge.

03 · GECS's CSR Initiative

From contaminated source to safe drinking water.

GECS provided a purification system designed specifically to treat the contaminated water, and took responsibility for the technical solution and its implementation on site.

07 · More Than a Project

Engineering expertise, used for social good.

For GECS, this initiative was more than the installation of a water purification plant. It represented a commitment to using engineering expertise for social good.

Every litre of safely treated water is an opportunity for a family to access a basic necessity that should be available to everyone.
08 · Technology with a Social Purpose

Water treatment isn't only for industry.

GECS believes water-treatment technology should not be limited to industrial and commercial applications. The same expertise can address real challenges faced by communities.

Technology+ Engineering Expertise+ Social Responsibility+ Community Welfare= Meaningful, sustainable impact
09 · Our CSR Commitment
“
Clean water is not a privilege; it is a necessity for a healthy and dignified life.

Our CSR initiative reflects our commitment to contributing to society by applying our knowledge and expertise in water treatment where it can make a meaningful difference.
